Movie Indulgence

Despite rushing thru work before my ICT on tuesday, i found time to cram in watching two movies this weekend.It has been a movie fiesta lately, having numerous movies that caught my fancy, I just have to watch it on wide DTS movie screen. Both was excellent.

Charlie and the chocolate factory was simply lovely. I have always been a crazy fan of Tim Burton. Think he has a knack in directing bizarre fantasy fable with a pinch of morale pun. I love the soundtrack esp the theme song with lyrics that was written by the late Roald Dahl himself, in the book. Check it out in the website!Its really cutesy , with a karaoke sing-along version.

Napola is a German film set in the era of Hitler reign. The tragic friendship between a fervent handsome boxer and an intellectual sensitive officer's son was heartbreaking. I cringed when i saw the rigid dogma that entails the elite training they have to undertake. More than ever, its propanganda that bits deep into all the young German cadets making them filled with surrealism. Its frightening to see how this terrible word poisons the world.
